Development Supporters Wall
To all members and supporters of Terenure College RFC, thank you so much for all your support for the 2026 Development Project. We are now at a point in the project where the finishing line is in sight:
- We have the use of some of our Dressing Room facilities.
- The bar and function room will open next month and we look forward to hosting the Club Dinner on May 22nd in Lakelands.
- We have recruited a bar manager to assist with the set-up of the new bar.
- The Gym , Coffee Shop, Club Shop, Treatment Rooms will be finished by early August.
And we look forward to having everything fully complete with our President, David cutting the ribbon ahead of the new rugby season.

Thank you all for your perseverance over the past twelve months, as we have struggled with minimal parking, little or no dry shelter during the toughest winter in decades and had no facilities where people could chat or socialise together.
As outlined at the very beginning of the project, it has been our intention to recognise those members who bought a ‘Brick’ who help fund the project. It’s probably worth reminding members of what we have achieved financially in this project.
We have managed to raise:
- €2.8m funding under the Government approved Immigrant Investor Programme.
- €120,000 under the Sports Capital Equipment Programme.
- €60,000 under the IRFU Inclusive Facilities Programme.
In total €2.98m.

In total €2.98m.
We had to raise €420,000 to fund the expenses associated with running this project, I’m sure everyone will concur it’s not a bad return - €6 of investment for every €1 we raised.
When the project was approved by the Members the budget at that time was €3.16m and with a number of unforeseen challenges and some unexpected costs, particularly for government services, the final budget is expected to come in and around €3.45m. As agreed with the Executive Committee and Trustees, we will fund the difference with a top up mortgage on the house that the Club owns, and we will not need to come back to the membership for any extra contribution.
We’re now also at an advanced stage with planning the Development Supporters Wall. The location will be to the very left of the gate as you come in the entrance to Lakelands. It will run along that wall over towards the Pump House/Main Entrance to the Clubhouse Lobby. We hope to have some landscaping to protect it, but minimal enough so as not to obscure the Wall. The current dimensions are 7m long and 1.5m high.
We have sold c. 400 ‘Bricks’ and currently have 334 inscriptions for the Wall.
Everyone who has bought a brick has been written to by the Development Committee and received a letter of thanks from our Club President and Chairman as well as receiving a receipt for their purchase. At that time, the supporters were asked to give an Inscription for their ‘Brick’. These 334 Inscriptions are listed below, so please check your inscription is present and if you have any questions or cannot find please contact development@tcrfc.ie.
We have also been asked if the project is closed to either donations or new brick sales and we are delighted to advise that the project is still open but will close permanently on April 30th, 2026. At that time, we will go to work with the ‘Wall’ designer and builder to finalise the construction of the Development Supporters Wall. If anyone wishes to purchase a Brick it can be done on www.TCRFC.ie, or by contacting development@tcrfc.ie where alternative payment methods can be handled.
The first donation was received in February 2023 and we appreciate there are members who can’t recall whether or not they have supported the Development and it is to this end we are publishing the current list of Inscriptions which people have approved to be on the Wall. If there is any query over an inscription please contact development@tcrfc.ie and we will endeavour to deal with your query.
The final design and the final number of ‘Bricks’ will determine the maximum number of characters on each ‘Brick’ and we will confirm this in early May and if there are any changes required we will work with you on this. A full list of all inscriptions is included below. It is sorted alphabetically by the Inscription name.
Finally thank you the Members and Supporters of Terenure College Rugby Football Club for making this happen. In the 1950’s , the members had the courage to build a clubhouse that lasted 70 years and once again a little over a decade ago the members invested heavily in the future of the Club. This is now being repaid with success across all sections of the Club and the School. We are where we are today, thanks to your vision and foresight and once we again we hope this Development Project is the catalyst for great things from future generations.
