It has been a busy Summer and off-season (both on and of the pitch) for TCRFC.
The Rugby Committee in conjunction with Senior, Junior and our Under 20’s have been working hard to ensure that everything is in place for the 2025/26 season.
This includes recruitment and retention of players, finalising all coaching and management tickets and operationally having everything in place for the day-to-day running of Rugby in TCRFC – with particular focus on the added layer of our exciting new Club Development.

This season we will again field teams from 1st’s through to 5th’s, as well as our Under 20’s side and all of these teams have had their shoulder to the wheel during pre-season.
We are of course very excited about the arrival of our new 1st XV Head Coach Carlos Spencer, who touches down in Dublin ahead of the St. Marys College game in the Leinster Senior Cup.
Special mention to Paul Barr (Performance Director) and Ian 'Moggy' Morgan (Director of Rugby), along with the coaches, who have been working closely with Carlos in putting the squad through their paces during pre-season, with the goal of having the players in the best possible shape for when he lands. Exciting times ahead.

Getting involved: We cater for all levels of adult rugby, so if you are interested in getting involved in TCRFC - be it as a player, or a coach, manager, baggage master, stats taker, or any type of volunteer / support – please email recruitment@tcrfc.ie or call Moggy on 0863857561.
Other Rugby focus points include; Rugby Operations and gearing Rugby up for the Development phase, with our temporary changing rooms and Club House arriving last week. The popular monthly Rugby Reviews and awards / Team of the Month will continue, this is where all our adult teams get together and share knowledge, ideas, best practice, learnings, Special Topics etc. The Players Council will also continue their brilliant work, giving our players a voice and providing better communications generally.
Looking forward to the season ahead, to welcoming our players, supporters and opponents to Lakelands and of course getting on the road for away games with our various teams.
Yours in Rugby,
Will Moore,
Chair of Rugby, on behalf of the Rugby Committee
