Members, following our AGM on Thursday, May 29th, we’re delighted to update you on the fantastic progress of the Terenure College RFC Development Project.

Planning Permission Granted

• We’re thrilled to confirm that Dublin City Council has officially granted Planning Permission for the project. With final quotes now received from both our Quantity Surveyor and building contractors, we are optimistic that construction will begin before the end of June.

Fundraising Progress

• Thanks to the incredible support of about 300 members, we have raised €2.985 million of our original €3 million target. The final projected cost is €3.05 million, which includes a cautious 6% contingency which leaves us with a €65k shortfall but we are confident enough to proceed. 

Brick Campaign – Last Chance!

• Our expenses  to participate in the IIP programme were €420,000. Your generosity helped raise nearly €400,000 through the Engrave Your Name in History brick campaign. A limited number of bricks remain – so if you, a friend, or family member would like to leave a legacy, now is the time. Every euro helps.

What’s Ahead? This is a once-in-a-generation transformation for TCRFC. Over the next 10-month build, work will include:

• Lane widening
• Dressing room and bar & function room refurbishments
• A new gym with treatment rooms.
• New club shop
• New coffee shop
• Full upgrade of all mechanical and electrical 

We’re aware that construction will bring disruption to Lakelands and we will work to minimise this. We’ll share more details once the builder’s timeline and site plan are finalized.
