We are delighted to announce that Paul Melia will be nominated by the Management Committee as our incoming Junior Vice President at the upcoming AGM will take place in the Clubhouse on Thursday 29th May next.

Paul Melia, aka "Chips" is Terenure true and true, a living Club legend.  Chips joined the Club in 1982 and has purple blood running through his veins.  

Along with his wife Ursula, Chips has travelled the length and breath of Ireland since 1987, supporting Terenure’s AIL team in good times and in bad.

Chips was a stalworth of Junior rugby for many years, along with his great pal the late Iaasc Kelly, competing in 8 Cup Finals in the 1980’s and 1990’s, winning the Fox Cup in 1990 under the Captaincy of JP Byrne; he is a former Chairman of Rugby and Chairman of Mini Rugby. 

Chips and Ursula are proud parents of younger Club legends, Michael and Adam both AIL Winners in 2023.  Chips and Ursula had their boys playing Rugby in the Club from the age of 3 and have been involved with the U13 Festival and Cardiff Schools programme for many years.

We wish Chips (and Ursula) every success over the coming few seasons.
