Notice to supporters

On Monday, the 17th of March, the Terenure College Senior Cup Team will play Blackrock College in the Leinster Schools  Senior Cup Final in Tallaght Stadium at 1.30 p.m. This promises to be a fantastic occasion for the school and wider community and we are all really looking forward to the day.

The match is now sold out and please note that there will be no walk-ups on the day. The match will be available to watch on television live on Premier Sports Ireland.

Supporters buses will leave from the club at 11:30. Others will make their own way there but we would strongly encourage everyone to try and be at the stadium by 12.30pm, due to public transport restrictions, parking difficulties and the huge traffic delays expected on the day.

Please wear  your Terenure Colours and get behind the whole Squad and Coaches for this big game.

The school is very proud of the reputation that the school’s supporters have in terms of their respect, behaviour and conduct on the way to, during and after these matches. The respect and good manners that they show to all the people that they meet along the way at these events reflects really well on themselves, their families and the whole school community. The school and club expect all our supporters to continue to uphold this reputation during Monday’s Final.

Please note that Tallaght Stadium is an alcohol free zone and that any flares, pyrotechnics etc. are strictly forbidden. During the game itself, it is crucial that supporters continue to respect the referee, respect our opponents and are silent while placekickers are kicking during the match. Absolutely no supporters are allowed on the pitch after the game.

After the match we expect the team to return to the College at 4.30 p.m. approximately.

The clubhouse will be open that evening for members and we would like to invite supporters and the team’s parents to join us in the club to mark the SCT’s achievement. There will be security present and  ID checks will be in operation.

To reach a Senior Cup Final is a marvellous achievement. Win or lose it is appropriate that as many of the boys as possible, as well as their families, be in the College to welcome our Team home.

Therefore, we would encourage as many as possible to be at the College for the team’s arrival at 4.30 p.m.
